Ski-jöring
The L’Auteuilloise Farm is proposing for 2010 a new winter activity: the ski jöring ! A simple concept, the skier is pulled by a poney. The package includes the initiation in the stable, practice session in the paddock and a ride on the trails with a qualified instructor. The activity takes place in a country like environment and lasts approximately 3 hours.

Skating rink
Centropolis has an open air skating rink right in downtown Laval.

Schedule: From January 23rd to February 28th, free access everyday of the week, from 9 a.m. till 11 p.m. lighting, music, and a place to trade your boots for your skates.

• Every Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. : DJ evening with a musical theme
• On Saturday: DJ from 2 p.m. till 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. till noon: trainers available to guide the toddlers on the ice.
• Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. till 4:30 p.m.: figure skating performances and demo on request for basic techniques

Passeport des chefs is back
The “Passeport des chefs” is an invitation to a gastronomic rally in four exquisite and renowned restaurants of Old Sainte-Rose: Restaurant Amato, Les Menus Plaisirs, Le Saint-Christophe and Au Jadin Boujo.

In the course of these special evenings, the chefs from the four restaurants will outdo themselves in originality and creativity to prepare delicious gastronomic meals. Each restaurant takes turn in offering each of the four courses and the accompanying wines, a great way to discover a variety of flavours and aroma.

Sainte-Rose en blanc
The festivities take place in the heart of Old Sainte-Rose during the first two week-ends of February. Discover all the richness of the cultural and historic heritage of this neighborhood while enjoying winter pleasures in a magical atmosphere. Fireworks, snow sculptures, icy trails, shows for all at the Sainte-Rose-de-Lima Church, and children shows, storytelling sleigh rides, torchlight walk and many more activities. From February 5th to 14th, 2010.

The Route des sciences presents: ‘’La semaine de relâche scientifique’’
In Laval the school break week will be one of fun scientific explorations. Youths from 5 to 17 years old and their parents are invited to make some surprising discoveries while having fun at the Route des sciences partners’ attractions. From March 1st to 31st, 2010.
