Description

The Cavalier Maxim, also once a ferry, is docked in the Old Port of Montreal. The boat has a carrying capacity of 750 passengers. AML Cruises in Montreal also offers a shuttle service (148 pax) linking Longueuil to the Old Port of Montreal, providing fast transportation to pedestrians and bikers.

Down below Place Jacques-Cartier, on the west side of the dock, the King Edward pier is host to the Cavalier Maxim. This boat is AML Cruises' main ship in Montreal.

On the opposite side of the bassin, two shuttles link the Old Port (Jacques Cartier pier) to Île Ste Hélène and Longueuil, at the greatest pleasure of pedestrians and bikers.

During daytime the Cavalier Maxim offers a 1½ hour guided tour (The Discoverers), where one can discover the city of Montreal from a whole new perspective. From the ancient locks of the Canal Lachine to the Boucherville islands, this guided tour allows us to go back in time and be witness to those events that marked the history of Montreal. At 7:00 pm, the boat weighs anchor for a 4 hour dinner cruise (Festivities and Flavours ). The 3 glassed in dinnig-rooms offer splendid view on the river, and the menu is equal to the company's reputation. AML has indeed won the excellency prize at the Grand Prix du Tourisme Gala 2004, for the Cavalier Maxim's dinner cruises. While each dinning-room has its own dance floor, the party takes place on the outside deck around 9:30 pm.

Once or twice a week (in high season) Montreal's famous nightlife spirit takes hold of the Cavalier Maxim from midnight to late into the night (Night Cruises), and the boat is then turned into the only floating discotheque in town! Nothing, however, to disturb the quietness of the Sunday Breakfast Buffet on the Cavalier Maxim.

Culinary Experience

Their devoted chefs always pay special attention to the ingredients chosen in order to cook fine cuisine. Aboard, you'll have access to a bistro or a dinning room.
